Day Trader EA – User Guide
Overview
Day Trader EA is a fully automated trend-following trading system designed for Forex, Metals, Oil and Index CFDs.
The Expert Advisor analyzes market structure using moving averages, momentum confirmation and volatility measurements to identify trend continuation opportunities.
The system is designed to provide a balance between automation and flexibility, allowing traders to adapt risk and position management to their own preferences.

Trading Modes
Day Trader EA includes four different trading modes.
Normal Mode
In Normal Mode, the EA opens a direct market order when all trade conditions are confirmed.
Examples:
BUY
SELL
This mode uses only the primary market position.
________________________________________
Stop Mode
In Stop Mode, the EA opens a market order and also places a pending stop order in the same direction.
Examples:
BUY + BUY STOP
SELL + SELL STOP
This mode is designed for trend continuation scenarios where the market may continue strongly in the same direction.
________________________________________
Limit Mode
In Limit Mode, the EA opens a market order and also places a pending limit order in the same direction.
Examples:
BUY + BUY LIMIT
SELL + SELL LIMIT
This mode is designed for pullback-based entries where the EA can add a position if price returns to a predefined level.
________________________________________
Hedge Mode
In Hedge Mode, the EA opens a market order and also places an opposite pending stop order.
Examples:
BUY + SELL STOP
SELL + BUY STOP
This mode is designed for traders who want the EA to prepare an opposite-side protection or reversal structure during volatile market conditions.
________________________________________
Pending Order Lot Multiplier and Grid Distance
For Stop, Limit and Hedge modes, the pending order lot size can be adjusted by using a lot multiplier.
The distance between the market position and the pending order can also be customized using the grid distance setting.
This allows traders to control:
Pending order size
Pending order distance
Grid structure
Position expansion behavior
These settings provide additional flexibility while keeping the main trading logic automated.
Market Detection and Presets
Day Trader EA automatically detects the traded instrument and loads internal presets.
Supported categories include:
• Forex Major Pairs
• Forex Minor Pairs
• Gold
• Silver
• Oil
• Stock Indices
Each category uses its own internal risk, volatility and trade management profile.
In most cases no optimization is required.
________________________________________
Risk Management
The EA uses dynamic position sizing.
Risk Percentage
Users can define the percentage of account balance they wish to risk per trade.
Example:
Risk = 1%
The EA calculates the appropriate lot size automatically based on Stop Loss distance and account conditions.
Higher risk percentages generally produce larger position sizes.
________________________________________
Maximum Lot Size
Users can define a maximum lot size limit.
Example:
MaxLot = 1.00
The EA will never exceed this value regardless of account size.
If:
MaxLot = 0
the EA allows the broker and account conditions to determine the maximum possible lot size according to the calculated risk.
This provides additional flexibility for larger accounts.
________________________________________
TP1 Money Management
Day Trader EA includes a dynamic profit management system.
The EA internally calculates TP1 targets using market-specific presets.
Each market type has its own optimized TP1 profile.
However, advanced users may override the automatic calculation.
TP1 Money Per 0.01 Lot
This parameter defines how much profit should be achieved for every 0.01 lot before TP1 is triggered.
Example:
TP1MoneyPer001Lot = 1.00
This means:
0.01 lot = 1.00 USD
0.10 lot = 10.00 USD
0.50 lot = 50.00 USD
before TP1 activation.
________________________________________
Dynamic TP1
When:
TP1MoneyPer001Lot = 0
the EA automatically calculates TP1 targets using its internal market presets and volatility analysis.
This is the recommended setting for most users.
________________________________________
Manual TP1 Override
Users who prefer more aggressive or more conservative trade management may enter their own TP1 value.
Examples:
0.50
Earlier TP1 activation.
2.00
Larger profit targets before TP1 activation.
________________________________________
Trade Management
The EA manages positions through multiple stages:
Initial Protection
Every position is opened with a volatility-adjusted Stop Loss.
TP1
A portion of the position can be closed automatically when the TP1 target is reached.
Break-Even Protection
The EA attempts to move Stop Loss into a protected area once predefined conditions are satisfied.
Runner Position
Remaining volume may continue to follow the trend in an attempt to capture larger market moves.
________________________________________
Recommended Usage
Day Trader EA was designed to operate across multiple markets using its internal preset architecture.
For most users the default settings are sufficient.
Users who wish to customize behavior should focus primarily on:
• Risk Percentage
• Maximum Lot Size
• Trading Mode
• TP1 Money Per 0.01 Lot
These four parameters provide the majority of customization options while keeping the system simple and efficient.
